Judy Holt PARK - Birkdale
Redlands Dog Obedience Club, is your local dog training club, providing support to our local community in the correct manner of dog handling and control, so as to prevent the companion dog from becoming a nuisance to others. We also support and provide training in the competitive dog sports of Flyball, Agility, RallyO and Dancing with Dogs(DWD).
Redlands Dog Obedience Club promotes the education of positive dog training methods, conducts public demonstrations in the correct handling and control of a dog and interest in dogs as a companion animal.
An obedience trial is a dog sport in which a dog must precisely execute a predefined set of tasks when directed to do so by their handler.
Dog agility is a fun dog sport in which a handler directs a dog through an obstacle course in a race for both time and accuracy.
Rally Obedience (also known as Rally-O) is a relatively new fun dog-sport based on traditional competitive dog obedience but carried out in a more informal and relaxed style.
Flyball is a team dog sport in which teams of 4 dogs race against each other in a relay from a start/finish line, over a line of hurdles, to a box that releases a tennis ball then back to their handlers while carrying the ball.
Dances with Dogs (DWD) is a relatively new canine sport that has it’s foundation in obedience heelwork but gives the handler the opportunity to include creative moves and movement in time to their chosen music, giving the illusion of dance.
